Now that you’ve selected the Split tool, all you need to do is find the spot where you want to cut your audio and click on it. This way, you’ll split your audio into two separate parts. If you want to cut your audio in more than two tracks, simply apply the split tool as many times as required. Once done, don’t forget to get back to the Selection tool by clicking 1.

4) Fade in & out
If you want the transition between your different cuts to be smoother, you need to apply the fade-in or fade-out effects. Luckily, it's pretty easy to do with Podcastle. Simply hover over your audio track until two dots appear on both sides of your recording. If you select the left one and push it to the right, you'll apply the fade-in effect. If you want to apply the fade-out, do vice-versa: move the right dot to the left.
5) Add music
Do you want to make your audio a little more entertaining? Then it might be a good idea to add some music to it! The best part is that with Podcastle you don’t need to worry about the copyrights. Our library has collected hundreds of royalty-free music tracks in one place, which you can use to enhance your audio. To access them click on the Music icon on the left side of the dashboard. In this example, we’ve chosen one of the classical tracks from Podcastle’s library and dragged and dropped it to the editing dashboard.
As you can see, the music track here is a little too long for our audio. So we’re going to apply the Split tool one more time. After cutting out the unnecessary parts, you can also simply hover over the audio and trim the track as short as you need. Once done, don’t forget to apply the fade in & out effects!
6) Enjoy the final results and export!
That’s pretty much it! Here is how our project looks in the end. Now all you have to do is export it and share it with others! And of course, don’t forget to listen to it one more time, and enjoy the results.
