About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. You will use various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems. Overall, you’ll strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals.
To succeed in this data engineering position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to aggregate and analyze data from different sources. Data Engineer skills also include familiarity with one or more programming languages, data structures, data analyzing services and databases.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Analyze and organize raw data
- Build data systems and pipelines
- Evaluate business needs and objectives
- Interpret trends and patterns
- Conduct complex data analysis and report on results
- Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
- Build algorithms and prototypes
- Combine raw information from different sources
- Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
- Identify opportunities for data acquisition
- Develop analytical tools and programs
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and engineers
- Create calculation methodologies and data pipelines to measure impact of different components
- Assist data team in improving data quality through event setup and enhancing data alerting system
We’re looking for someone with the following skills and qualities:
- 4+ years of experience in data-engineering
- Strong knowledge of statistics and probability is a must
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or any other programming language and DB
- Experience with Databricks
- Experience with visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar tools
- Experience with Amplitude, Google analytics or similar tools
- Experience with A/B testing would be a plus
- Familiarity with data structures and algorithms would be a plus
