About the role:
Drive data focused product development across the company by creating, managing and researching new ways to use data. You will formulate product questions and answer them using a wide range of tools and techniques.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Creating calculation methodologies and data pipelines to measure impact of different components, such as user acquisition, hosting, editor, etc
- Conducting experiments and observational studies to understand user needs. Collaborate with product managers to design new experiments based on gathered knowledge
- Assist data team in improving data quality through event setup and enhancing data alerting system
- Segmenting users based on their product use cases and working with the marketing team to identify the best approaches for reaching them
- Identifying causal factors behind data fluctuations and providing recommendations for product improvement
We’re looking for someone with the following skills and qualities:
- 4+ years of experience in data-related work
- Strong knowledge of statistics and probability is a must
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or any other programming language and DB
- Experience with visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar tools
- Experience with A/B testing would be a plus
- Familiarity with data structures and algorithms would be a plus
