About the role:

The Senior Content Marketing Manager will take the lead on key strategic initiatives as the point person for delivering Podcastle’s message across channels (email, website, social media, blogs, and support content). You’ll own the Marketing team’s content strategy and will ensure we are providing ideal customer experiences for existing and prospective users.

You will report directly to the Head of Marketing, working closely with the executive leadership team and managing a team of marketers to oversee all website content, social media, SEO, and the Podcastle blog. You’ll partner internally with Product Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales Development. You will also manage external relationships with agencies, vendors, and freelancers.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager who is customer-centric, entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, and has exceptional writing & editorial skills. We are looking for someone who possesses the ability to think both creatively and analytically.

While the role will be 100% remote, we prefer candidates based in Europe or US (eastern time) for smoother collaboration across time zones. 

What you'll do:
  • Create, improve, and maintain all Podcastle cross-channel content to help achieve our business goals
  • Plan content strategy and monitor web traffic & metrics to identify best practices and top-performing trends; own and deliver on content performance metrics
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop compelling site content that speaks in a distinct voice consistent with Podcastle’s positioning
  • Drive thought leadership in the podcasting space
  • Ensure all content is optimized for its intended channel. Oversee SEO to improve keyword rankings and optimize content for search performance
  • Drive amplification of content through different marketing channels and collaborate with product marketing, lifecycle marketing, and social media, and demand generation team members on content distribution
  • Manage the global editorial calendar in coordination with the rest of the marketing team
  • Manage production of content with internal & external design resources. Manage feedback and approvals, and identify process efficiencies
Who we're looking for:
  • 7+ years in content strategy & marketing, with a minimum of 2 years experience managing people 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to follow strict SEO best practices while maintaining a focus on quality
  • Creativity and the ability to develop original content
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, project management, and execution skills
  • An aptitude for learning quickly, multi-tasking and problem solving
  • A bias for action & execution, scrappiness with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Passion for the world of podcasting and/or content creation!
